Rainbow Socks are produced with the use of top-quality materials. The majority of our socks are made up of: 80% cotton, 17% polyamide, and 3% elastane.

Why are the socks not 100% cotton?

Artificial fibers are needed not only to make the socks comfortable, but also to keep them safe. Cotton is highly hygroscopic. This means that it absorbs a lot of moisture and makes the feet cool and damp. Cotton socks do not keep their shape - they stretch and do not return to their original form. 100% cotton composition also increases the risk of abrasions.

Perfect composition of socks

The best proportion of cotton to artificial fibers in the composition of the sock is 80 to 20. About 80% cotton and 20% other fibers ensures the highest quality, durability and comfort.

Cotton

The cotton that we use comes from India and Germany and has been confirmed by OEKO-TEX certificate – an international symbol of highest quality textile products.

Polyamide

About 17% of the composition of almost each of our socks is certified polyamide. It is characterized by a very high mechanical resistance, ensuring a reduction in the risk of abrasions or holes in the material. This is very important when our foot is constantly "working",moving in the shoe.

Elastane

A small amount of elastane is essential in any sock that is worn every day. The elastane we use, certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, makes the sock fulfill its core function, i.e. it stays on the foot, protects it, and does not slip.
