New year, new me - are you getting sick of hearing it every 12 months? Yes, we too, but we know why. This “new me” won’t last a month. It never does. But if you knew how to keep the New Year’s resolutions all year round, you would be the one to shout “new me” once the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Statistically, this “new year, new me” is only a memory already at the beginning of a year - it lasts till February. Why? Is it because New Year’s Eve resolutions are unrealistic, or what is it all about? Let’s take a closer look at the most popular aspirations as January approaches and why they come to naught.

1. This year, I'm regularly going to the gym

Apparently, fitness clubs start their peak season in January, which lasts up till February…Well, it seems like a good joke, but for most of these clubs, it’s a reality. Why? There is no point denying that a fit lifestyle is hard to maintain. If you’ve never been to a gym, how can you expect that you will love it overnight? Too rapid and demanding resolutions have no chance of survival.
Besides, we can be honest with each other. The gym is not for everybody. Some people simply prefer to exercise at home, and there is no point in forcing themselves to buy a gym membership. All that matters is the training, not your surrounding.
What might be really discouraging is the lack of proper equipment and clothes. There is a solution - comfortable, cut out for exercising socks. We suggest Non Slip Socks with ABS Grips that work great at the gym and home!

2. I give the sweets up

Again - why so radical? We agree that sweets are not the healthiest choice, but if you only want them from time to time to feel better, why say no to that? We recommend you get familiar with our article about Sweet Facts to persuade yourself that you deserve it once in a blue moon.

If you have a sweet tooth, and you can’t go a day without a snack, a bar of chocolate or a piece of delicious Apple Pie, we’re sorry to say - it’s time for changes. On the other hand, paraphrasing Fergie - a little piece of Cheesecake never killed nobody, right?

3. I choose a fit lifestyle

An enviable resolution, but is it possible for a lazy couch potato in equally Lazy Socks, always digging in a Popcorn Box to become a fit lifestyle lover opting for a lunch Salad Socks instead?

Maybe in a perfect world, it would, but let’s stay down-to-earth. It will be more reasonable if you start easy and gradually switch to a much healthier lifestyle. You don’t know where to begin? Instead of buying one more fast food meal, choose one of our Fast Food Socks Takeaway. They look as tasty as real food but have zero calories - it’s a win-win solution!

Quite often, it’s not an unreasonable, overwhelming resolution that creates a problem. It’s the attitude. When you want to achieve all in the blink of an eye, it’s not surprising that everything fizzles out. Change your approach and see that your New Year’s Eve resolutions can stay with you through the whole year!
